This guitar is from the American Deluxe Series, made at the Corona Plant (Fender) in 1998 - 1999. Showcasing the evolution of Fender’s line up in 1998 this start features the same vintage noiseless pickups found in fender’s custom-shop guitars of the same era. These, coupled with the two post trem system and comfy fat frets gives this guitar a distinctly Texas swagger when plugged into the dirty side of your amp. The "fat" refers to the bridge humbucker, which offers a bigger, nastier edge to the world famous clean strat sound. Heavy rock and overdriven tones are totally achievable on this guitar, in fact it's what it's designed for however, it still produces the sparkly cleans and woody tones you would expect from any Strat. Ultimately an alder body and bolt on maple neck give a classic stratocaster vibe. Although this guitar is in great shape for it's age, there are a few minor scratches as one would expect with the majority on the back from buckle rash. The frets are in good order and the set up is smooth and fast. An all round cracking guitar. This guitar could be your next workhorse or your next studio secret with equal ease.
