After years of being overlooked on the vintage market in favour of Strats and Teles, the Fender Jazzmaster is now getting the recognition it deserves and is benefitting from a continuing surge in popularity. This 1963 example is fantastic as a player, collection piece, or an investment.
This '63 Jazzmaster is in genuine roadworn condition and looks incredible, it's dripping with vintage mojo. Its distinctive alder offset body is finished in sunburst (arguably the best finish ever on a Jazzmaster) with a Brazillian rosewood fretboard and maple neck.
This '63 is all stock original except for the pots, however the originals are complete in the case.
A fantastic player, this has a sturdy '60s neck but feels effortless to play with a superb action. The frets are low and even allowing for great playability all the way up the fretboard, and the neck is spot on. Even though it's seen a lot of use, it has that dependable feel of a guitar that's ready to be played for another 50 years!
The tone is quintessential vintage Fender - full of bite, richness and clarity. It sounds amazing for any style with a superb clean tone for soul, indie, country - whatever genre you want - and also overdrives like a beast.
One of the nicest playing, sounding, and indeed coolest looking vintage guitars we've had in-store. Its originality (including case) makes it a great investment or collector's piece, but it would just as easily make a fantastic lifetime gigging or studio guitar.
Complete with its original hard case, 1963 Fender Jazzmaster in Sunburst.
