This limited and highly sort after run of 500 guitars from 2003 offered a maple ‘10’ top paired with select Brazilian rosewood fretboard, headstock overlay and truss rod cover. This guitar features Pink heart abalone birds and headstock signature, with a green ripple abalone “Brazilian” headstock inlay.
This particular guitar is number 215 of 500 and comes with a control plate signed by Paul Reed Smith himself as well as all the usual case candy. The ’10’ top is quite unique, featuring a stunning quilted figure that is truly three dimensional to look at.
With a wide fat neck profile (not as big as you think, it’s just a little ‘vintage’ in feel!) and a pair of Dragon pickups with a 5 way switch, this guitar has a broad range of tones available. All of them warm and all of them articulate with superb string separation.
All the hardware is mixed Nickel and Gold.
This guitar represents a superb piece of luthiery and an opportunity to own some historic and exclusive Brazilian Rosewood just before it disappears from the world of guitar building altogether.
