Brand new from Larrivee is their stunning East Indian Laurel limited edition series. This is a spectacular and often overlooked tonewood with a look somewhere between Indian Rosewood and English Walnut. Known for its exceptional tap tone quality, Laurel offers up rich overtones and brilliant highs that produce an overall lively and vibrant presence.
In addition to this beautiful tonewood, this limited run features a Laurel leaf headstock motif, which is hand inlaid consisting of 15 individually cut pieces designed by Wendy Larrivee. It is a beautifully modest and well thought out piece of inlay that complements the three tonewood colours of the guitar perfectly. The guitar is also signed by Jean Larrivee himself.
This is the Parlour body shape, and with the tonewood combinaton of Sitka Spruce and Indian Laurel, it sounds warm, rich and reassuring with a defined, controlled tone and excellent volume which we've come to expect from Larrivee's Parlour size guitars. The neck and action feel lovely and typically Larrivee, with a nice weight and balance throughout.
This is the only one we have in stock so pictures are of the actual guitar we have.
This comes with its Larrivee hard case.
