This is the Lakestone OM/C guitar, handmade in England by Tony and Samuel Wright in superb used condition.
We are very proud to be the first Lakestone stockists in the UK. Tony has previously worked with George Lowden on several procedures to improve tone, most notably designing the jig for Lowden's fan fret models, which Lakestone now make under their own name.
This beautiful guitar is their trademark OM size but with a slightly shallower body depth, and features a cutaway for ease of access to the dusty end. It has a high grade red cedar top paired with spalted walnut back and sides which produce a rich tone when fingerpicking, but also responds well to strumming and flatpicking.
As Lakestone say:
"With a shallower depth of body, the OM/C has a greater level of attack, especially when strumming. This model is also a cutaway which is perfect for reaching those higher notes with ease. On all our models, the slimmer thickness of the neck and low action helps to give a very comfortable and faster play. Also, all of our necks have been designed to create amazing sustain!"
Lakestone earmarked this guitar as a demo, and as such has a few small marks here and there but is in excellent shape. As such it has a top of the range LR Baggs Anthem pickup fitted (RRP £369.95) which combines Baggs Element undersaddle piezo and internal mounted TRU-MIC, with a soundhole blend control, phase, volume and multi-segment battery check. This is one of the best pickups around. Full retail on this guitar is £2699 so grab a bargain!
A great guitar for gigging, the studio or home playing, made here in the UK.
