OOO-Shape Mahogany Traditional Series Acoustic
Many guitar makers offer vintage guitars which are replicas of pre-World War II instruments. Usually the goal is to make the guitar as close to the original as possible both visually and tonally. In 2002 when we designed the Traditional Series, we took a different path; our goal was to make an instrument with traditional “vintage” features (such as the flat-top headstock, volute, and pearl diamond inlays) but we maintained the unique Larrivée balance.
The Traditional Series is built using our standard symmetrical parabolic bracing, giving the guitar a mid range punch, but also comes with an enlarged sound hole to emphasize the low-end and increase overall volume. These guitars also feature herringbone trim, traditional angled bone nut and TUSQ saddle, open-back style tuners (on D- and OM- bodies) and 3-on-a-side tuners (on SD- and OOO- bodies).
