Many guitar makers offer vintage guitars which are replicas of pre-World War II instruments. Usually the goal is to make the guitar as close to the original as possible both visually and tonally. In 2002 Larrivee designed the Traditional Series, their goal was to make an instrument with traditional “vintage” features (such as the flat-top headstock, volute, and pearl diamond inlays) but they have maintained the unique Larrivée balance.
The Traditional Series is built using Larrivee's standard symmetrical parabolic bracing, giving the guitar a mid range punch, but also comes with an enlarged sound hole to emphasize the low-end and increase overall volume. These guitars also feature herringbone trim, traditional angled bone nut and TUSQ saddle, open-back style tuners
This is a lovely guitar and with its slim neck and slick action it plays like a dream.
New but ex-demo model - it has a small dink in the neck but this doesn't affect the playability (nor is it noticable when playing) Comes in its Larrivee hard case.
Photos are of the actual guitar.
